Analysis of Factors Influencing Illegal Waste Dumping Generation Using GIS Spatial Regression Methods

Illegal municipal waste dumping practices in developing countries may be impacted by many factors such as socioeconomic, demographic, availability of collection facilities, recycling sites, and spatial characteristics. This study uses regression analysis to identify which primarily impact illegal practices. For this purpose, 8 variables explain the data for 177 subdistricts used analysis. ordinary least squares (OLS) geographically weighted (GWR) methods build a model identified. OLS showed that only elevation population density were found become determinants activity based on methods. Elevation above sea level is positively correlated while negatively with number generations. GWR shows better statistical value than OLS, where significance adjusted R-square increased from 0.24 0.61. help reduce practices, especially metro city context.
